However, one thing to note is the need to add the rel=”nofollow” to these bookmarking links. If not you will really explode your external links. Imagine just 8 links for each post, you will have 80 extra links out if you have 10 posts on your main page – that will be confusing the spiders, not very good for SEO IMHO.

I’ve noticed real growth in social bookmarking over the past few months, and just last week found wink.com was live, which cleverly allows one to integrate one’s delicious information.

I’ve also found out that I can buy a script that lets me create and run my own social bookmarking site – for around $249 on a classic “long copy” sales page! The demo of the software running is too rough and ready as yet for me to be quite convinced, but it’s a sign of the huge potential that social bookmarking has.
