Interesting concept. For me, the ultimate welcome mat has to be a guest post on a popular blog. That way you get to show some hospitality to your visitors before they even cross your threshold. Even better: the link back to you blog can take ‘em to a landing page tailored for the type of person who reads the blog you’ve guested on.
