Matt, Agreed entirely. Therefore, our mission "should we choose to accept it" is to write posts with quality and engaging content for our readers (our primary concern), which also contain our target keywords and hence help our efforts to attract Search Engines (and by implication new readers!).

And there lies the key to the on-page side of good Search Engine Optimisation!

Keywords attract search engines - quality attracts readers. Blogs will only succeed in developing the sales process if they are engaging and of value to readers. Otherwise people will simply hit the unsubscribe button and potential customers will be lost.

Michael,

Thanks for your comments. Stories can be so powerful in getting across messages but obviously take time to create and develop. However, I would certainly agree with the approach you are taking.

With regard to this, you may already be aware of the site but I think that you would find Brian Clark at CopyBlogger to be an excellent read.

All the best, Mark

Thanks for the bit of wisdom on how often to post.

Your "compromise of quality" line was encouraging to me. I have chosen to use story as a basis for most of my postings. And for that reason I seldom post more than once or twice a week.

Good site and thanks for the recommended blogs to visit. I'm on the other side of the pond but will be sure to learn from your recommendations.
